As we all know, not all Dads are the same so it’s not always easy to pick the perfect venue to celebrate Father’s day. To make your job a whole lot easier we’ve put together a list of reasons why each one of our venues could be the perfect place to treat Dad (but also yourself because, let’s be honest, we all look forward to a slap up meal on a Sunday) Keep reading to find out more…
The Boat House Cafés – Chichester & Swanwick
With locations at both Swanwick and Chichester Marinas our Boat Houses are set within beautiful harbour surroundings and have a relaxed feel to them so they are sure to be a great choice if Dad is a boat lover. Both locations are dog friendly too so there is no need to leave your furry friends behind when you come visit us!
The Boat House Swanwick is nestled by the edge of the River Hamble, perfect for a riverside walk with Dad. It also boasts a vibrant decked terrace while the Boat House Chichester has just launched a new pizza area and is serving delicious homemade wood-fired pizzas. The harbour views are best enjoyed in the sunshine but we know that British weather can be unpredictable so at the Boat House Chichester we have got you (quite literally!) covered our retractable terrace roof.
The Bugle
The Bugle is full of character and is situated in the coastal village of Hamble – a picturesque destination with quaint cobbled streets and riverside views. This is a great choice if you’re looking for a more traditional pub where you can enjoy a lip-smacking roast dinner, river views and boat watch with a pint of ale or glass of wine in hand.
Kimbridge Barn
Situated amongst the stunning surroundings of the River Test in Hampshire, Kimbridge Barn mixes charm, sophistication and a cosy ambience which would suit the more laid-back, nature-loving Dads. With a variety of unique spaces such as the tearoom, bootroom and courtyards it’s the ideal location to unwind and tuck into a delicious meal made with homegrown produce. Father’s day will be the last opportunity to enjoy our popular Sunday feasts with jazz music until winter so make sure you don’t miss out!
The White Horse
Looking for a memorable Sunday roast? The White Horse is one of our more traditional pubs and it’s the perfect venue to spend some quality family time and enjoy some delicious pub grub, indoors or outdoors. With a large garden setting made for the summer, we’ve also taken al fresco eating to the next level with a new pizza oven as well as a children’s play area to keep the whole family happy.
No.5 Bridge Street
No5.Bridge street oozes style and it includes a restaurant, bar and B&B facilities in the historic city of Winchester. This sophisticated hideaway is the perfect option if you’re planning to spend the day out with Dad – with a cosy indoor restaurant area and a charming courtyard that you can retreat to after a busy day of exploring or shopping around Winchester.
