Here at Kimbridge Barn, one of our absolute favourite things is seeing happy can’t-stop-smiling couples relaxing and enjoying their special day, after all the planning and preparation of their dream wedding day and then hearing back from them after the big day. Our gorgeous bride and groom Sam and Adam Prior chose Kimbridge Barn as their wedding venue. It wasn’t all plain sailing with riding the waves of a pandemic, but as you can see you can from the photos here, it was an absolutely stunning day full of joy and celebration. Here’s their story.
We had our wedding at Kimbridge Barn on Friday 20th August 2021 and it was the most amazing day! Kris and the team were so attentive and really focused on the small details that made the whole day just perfect. Little things like the fact that we’d mentioned in passing that when we got engaged we had Aperol Spritz, so Kris made sure that we had this upon our arrival to the barn as husband and wife. Kris also acknowledged that for the comfort of our guests we should add in two extra trestle tables for our wedding breakfast – something which he offered and sorted the day before the wedding!
We had to postpone our wedding several times due to the pandemic and the team at Kimbridge were fully supportive every step of the way; from each postponement through to changing the details of the day right up to the last minute – they really did everything they could to make sure we had the day we’d dreamed of.
The barn itself is a stunning venue and really doesn’t require much in the way of decorating as it is finished to such a high-spec. We had 100 guests in the day with an additional 50 in the evening. We had canapes upon arrival, a 3-course wedding breakfast and then fries, bacon rolls and cheese as part of our evening reception. The food was incredible and has been a big talking point amongst our guests – some of which are huge foodies. Our suppliers also commented that the food was the best they’d ever had at a wedding. Again with the little details, we’d ordered Estrella to be served as part of our arrival drinks but instead of the standard Estrella they’d served Estrella Damm Inedit (the more premium Estrella). They really do focus on high-spec and well executed service!
We honestly couldn’t recommend Kimbridge Barn enough for a wedding! Thank you so much Kris and the team for such an amazing day 🙂
